What is Trail Hunting?

Trail hunting is a legal activity in which hounds follow an artificially laid scent trail, preserving the skill of the hounds, the horsemanship of the riders, and the tradition of hunting.

The video, produced by the British Hound Sports Association, shows several hunts demonstrating trail hunting in practice. The CVFH follows the same principles and standards shown here.
